Amphibole Quartz Geological Description:  

Amphibole is a group of inosilicate minerals, forming prism or needlelike crystals, composed of double chain SiO ₄ tetrahedra, linked at the vertices and generally containing ions of iron and/or magnesium in their structures. Amphiboles can be green, black, colorless, white, yellow, blue, or brown.

Amphibole quartz is also called angel phantom or angel wing quartz. This is one of the most dramatic-looking of the many quartz types with inclusions. The amphibole which includes such minerals as tremolite, actinolite, and hornblende makes up for the inclusions in angel wing quartz. These were discovered in a remote area of Brazil and are quite rare.
