Amegreen Geological Description:
Amegreen is a blend of chevron amethyst and prasiolite, a type of all-natural amethyst from Brazil. Prasiolite is green quartz, a silicate mineral chemically silicon dioxide. The word prasiolite comes from the Greek words prason, meaning "leek," and lithos, meaning "stone". Natural prasiolite is a very light, translucent green. Amegreen is a member of the quartz family with a trigonal crystal system and a hardness of 7. Its purple color comes from trace amounts of iron and aluminum. Quality specimens come from Brazil and Uruguay.
