Super Moon and Mercury Retograde Dec 2017

Goodnight Moon and Hello Merc Retro!

As you may have heard, we have a super full moon! We also have Mercury Retrograde at the same time! But there are ways to get through this crazy and sometimes stressful holiday season (even when the universe throws us these Astro curveballs!).

A full moon is a good time to do rituals focused on personal growth and spiritual development. The “basic” rule is, on the New moon, you set your intention and on the full Moon, it becomes the fruition of the work you started. The Super full moon is the harvest or manifestation of your goals that you desire. This comes from the seed you plant during the new moon cycle. The “full fruit” of this Supermoon is a great time to draw energy from this particular moon cycle.

As for Mercury Retrograde, it runs from Dec 3-22nd. When this event occurs, you don’t want to start anything new. Don’t sign contracts or buy large purchases for yourself. It can be particularly tricky on modern-day electronics such as computers, phones etc. but retrograde isn’t all bad. In fact, it is the best time to clear up old baggage! Work on completing that project you’ve been putting off, focus on paying off an annoying bill, attempt to resolve old arguments or just let that shit go. You will find it easier to complete these avoidances and so satisfying!

In any Full moon, it a great time to charge your crystals. In this Super full moon, we want to charge crystals that will help us through the sluggishness of the holiday season and the heaviness of the retrograde. Crystals like Ametrine and Labradorite are my super favs for this Astro situation!

Ametrine helps to overcome the fear of progress. It clears mental fogginess and keeps the mind focused and alert. It is called a ‘stone of the muses’ and can assist you in manifesting your ideas. It also is said to aid digestive issues and stimulates your metabolism. What a wonderful way to kick start that New year's resolution! 

Labradorite is a stone of transformation. It clears, balances & protects the aura. It helps provide clarity and insight into your destiny, as well as attract success. It's used for dream recall and finding ways to use dreams in daily life.
